PS...crap I find pinteresting

This week on Crap inspired on pinterest...

1- the waffle cookies...epic fail! Ok...maybe the fact that my waffle iron makes huge holes might contribute to the fact that these turned out far less adorable than the ones I saw on pinterest...but even at that...they don't really taste that great. =(

2- getting my DC on for my big {G}ranny square swap...I haven't finished all of the flowers yet, but well on my way.

3- Saved the best for last...the Mulligatawny soup...YUM!!!!!!!!

Project 52 {week nine} - a truth about mom and dad in the eyes of Nicholas

It's always a wake up call to see yourself through the eyes of your children. Nicholas' assignment was to draw a picture of mom and dad...I surely expected him to draw me with a camera in front of my face...but *sigh* this is what he drew.

Upon closer inspection of his artwork, we can gain some further insight into what he thinks. He is such a smart little guy and his viewpoint is from the most innocent of truths.

First of all...the title says a lot:

this is sadly, all too true and thus, I have taped this particular piece of art about my computer desk as a reminder to get off my computer and go play with him.

Now...looking at his drawing...we can tell the he thinks we work hard...so hard in fact that our computers are on FIRE. hee hee. Again, so true.

Also...we know which one is mommy and which is daddy...how do we know? well I asked him and he said that mommy has a big butt. nice. Again...the innocent truth in that is oh so refreshing....

ok...I'm off to the gym! ;)

Project 52 {week six} - the sweet little prince

This week, I'd like to feature my sweet little prince. At about the age of 3.5 yr old, I surely thought that one of us was *not* going to make it to his 4th birthday. Ok...ONLY KIDDING CPA...I ***LOVE*** this guy more than anything in the world...but seriously, if you've had a 3.5 yr old boy, I'm guessing that you get where I'm coming from...he'd learned to push every button and he is quite the debater...nice...and through all of my frustrations, I just kept waiting for 4...and now that he's been 4 for a few weeks, I would say that while it's not a dramatic turn around with him, but we're definitely making progress.

And...on a different note...Let me just tell you how much Mike appreciates my new obsession with Pinterest...*not*...so I'd like to add a segment of "CRAP INSPIRED BY PINTEREST"...(I would credit the original, but now that I have pinterest to organize this stuff, I can't be bothered...it's the thought that counts though). This week, I made some Super Bowl Party appetizers...and sandwiches of apples and peanut butter. I highly recommend both ideas! =) Thank you Pinterest and pinners!!!

Project 52 {week five} - feeling nostalgic

Yesterday, I braved the cold and snow to attend an amazing training session for Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. This is a wonderful organization and if you have the time please click the link to check them out and please please please donate. They provide a wonderful gift for many families.

Anyways...when I got home, I was emotionally exhausted, from the training and also driving in the snow (but that's a whole other Oprah)...but of course I checked Facebook and my friend Jenn had asked to see baby photos. Perfect timing! Thanks Jenn! <3 So, as I looked back at my babies, tears came to my eyes and I just want the whole world to know how lucky I am and how much I appreciate my sweethearts...so this week, we're looking back at my little ones.
